It is the world's largest exporter of perfumes and cosmetics, with €19.1 billion of exports in 2022.

REI is a limited liability consortium and public-private partnership acting as a local development agency in the province of Cremona, Lombardy Region (Italy), with 3 areas of intervention: Territorial marketing, Research and Innovation, Start-Up. REI coordinates the Lombardy Cosmetics System, the network which includes 14 actors – both from public and private sectors – settles as the first pioneering group of firms and entities representative of the whole regional supply chain.
The ambition is to cultivate relationships that nourish the emergence of a common vision for the development of cosmetic sector and the identification of research, innovation, and education investment, as levers for the growth. Its characteristic lays in the transversal, multidisciplinary approach, with synergy between businesses and academia. The partnership was born from the interest to formalize the passage from close aggregation to an ecosystem, that guarantee an inclusive approach opened to new collaboration, in the framework of Regional S3 priorities. This partnership is a first group of entities representing the whole regional supply chain: 1 development agency (REI - Reindustria Innovazione), 5 universities (Politecnico di Milano, Università degli Studi di Milano, Università Bicocca, Università Cattolica, Università degli Studi di Pavia), 2 public institution, 2 cosmetics association (Cosmetica Italia and Cosmetics Polo) that represent almost 400 enterprises.
Its mission is to drive internationalisation, innovation, training and digital and green transition, working for the sustainable development and competitiveness of the Portuguese cosmetics sector value chain, with competence and professionalism, integrity and ethics and creativity and innovation, identifying and promoting business opportunities.
Geographic base of the Cosmetic Valley cluster and major player in the production of cosmetics in France, the Centre-Val de Loire Region has 224 companies that employ 16,000 people. To strengthen the development of this essential sector for the region, the Centre-Val de Loire Regional Council has chosen to make cosmetics a major priority of its 2021-2027 smart specialization strategy (S3) through its "Biotechnologies and services for eco-responsible and personalized cosmetics" specialization area. By supporting the creation and development of the Go4Cosmetics platform, the Centre-Val de Loire Region is confirming its desire to support the cosmetics industry and its players on a European scale.
DEV'UP is the economic development agency of the Centre-Val de Loire region, and its main missions are to assist in the development and promotion of the region. The University of Life Sciences in Lublin (ULSL) is a multi-profile institution with over 65 years of teaching tradition, that integrates agricultural, biological, veterinary, technical, economic and social sciences.
ULSL offers first- and second-cycle study programmes first-cycle studies (bachelor's or engineer's degree), second-cycle studies, and comprehensive long-cycle master's studies at 7 faculties in over 41 fields of study, including biocosmetology (both full & part time) that combines agricultural sciences and horticulture, biological sciences, chemical engineering and elements of health sciences. Every year ca. 100 new students enroll into these courses.
