Here are few suggestions or ideas for projects related to Cosmetopeia : would you be interested to get involved in a European consortium ?
Valorization of new sources in cosmetics : Proposal to investigate new sources of biological compounds (lignin, cellulose, moss, lichens, waste, undesirable plant, plant ingredient, by-products,...) and encourage plant sourcing
Creation of a central testing agency for bioassays for Cosmetopeia : create a central testing agency that can do cosmetic-relevant bioassays that can be used by international labs isolating extracts and pure compounds from biodiversity
Holistic project on Cosmetopeia : Proposal to work on a multidisciplinary and holistic approach of cosmetic (identify plant resources, preservation, chemical and biological characterization, green extraction, formulation, sustainable production) to reduce the carbon impact through local sourcing
Development of a formulation software : Proposal to develop a specialized software for cosmetic professionals (pharmacys, cosmetic chemists) containing, recommended ingredients for specific purposes and optimal ranges, possible incompatibilities, formulation simulator, and proposed formulations for different skin types
